About this training
Dealing with children who display challenging behaviour can be stressful and exhausting. However, there are often reasons why children present this way. Children use behaviour to communicate their current state of emotion, which is not always obvious or easy for adults to understand – let alone get them to cooperate.
Key to Kids will present several practical strategies for people working with children who may not respond to initial reminders and requests. By firstly acknowledging children’s feelings, carers and educators can build trust and respectful relationships with the children they are responsible for.
This two-hour course will give step-by-step methods in gaining trust, keeping communication open, encouraging cooperative behaviour and building harmonious environments in a range of child-focused settings.
