About this training
Are you up to date with the food safety requirements in early years settings? Our Online Food Safety training covers the food safety basics that all staff working in the early years sector need to be aware of. Our Online Food Safety training can help settings meet and exceed their requirements under the National Quality Standards.
This food safety training course meets the requirements of Standard 3.2.2A Food Safety Management Tools and covers all the necessary food safety requirements needed for food handlers under the new standard.
Topics include:
- The importance of food safety in early childhood settings
- Potentially hazardous foods
- The temperature danger zone
- Expressed breastmilk and infant formula
- Receiving food and cold/frozen/dry storage
- Food preparation
- Grooming, personal habits and handwashing
- Cross contamination
- Cleaning
- Cooking, cooling, thawing and reheating
- Serving and self service
- Allergen control
- Food recall
