About this training

Are you up to date with the food safety requirements in aged care settings? Our Online Food Safety training covers the food safety basics that all staff working in the aged sector need to be aware of. Our Online Food Safety ensures your staff are skilled and confident in their ability to provide safe food for residents at your aged care facility. 

This food safety training course meets the requirements of Standard 3.2.2A Food Safety Management Tools and covers all the necessary food safety requirements needed for food handlers under the new standard.

Topics include: 

  • The importance of food safety in aged care settings 
  • Potentially hazardous foods 
  • The temperature danger zone 
  • Receiving food and cold/frozen/dry storage 
  • Food preparation 
  • Grooming, personal habits and handwashing  
  • Cross contamination

  • Allergen control 
  • Food recall
