About this training

This course has identified the need for Sexual Harassment Prevention training in response to the recommendations from the Respect@Work Report, subsequent Federal Sex Discrimination Act legislative changes and employer obligations to prevent sexual harassment conduct under Work Health and Safety legislation, Industry Codes and National Guidelines.

Learning Assessment: Multiple choice questions through the course. No further study or assessment.

Certificate: Available for download at the time of successful completion of the online learning.

Learning Outcomes of this course include:

  • Learners will be able to understand the Respect At Work roadmap that informed the legislative landscape and the ‘why’ in the prevention of sexual harassment
  • Learners will be able to revisit their understanding around gendered violence and what constitutes sexual harassment under the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth) and describe the types of behaviour
  • Learners will have an understanding around their new positive legal obligations to prevent and respond to sexual harassment
  • Learners will be able to identify sexual harassment that occurs in connection ‘at work’ including online conduct
  • Learners will be able to understand and recognise third party actor impacts around sexual harassment including ancillary liability, victimisation, preventing a hostile work environment and bystander intervention
  • Learners will be able to identify reasonable and proportionate measures in which to prevent and respond to sexual harassment and related conduct
