About this training

This course has identified the need for Sex Based Harassment training in response to the recommendations from the Respect@Work Report, subsequent Federal Sex Discrimination Act legislative changes and employer obligations to prevent sexual harassment conduct under Work Health and Safety legislation, Industry Codes and National Guidelines.

Learning Assessment: Multiple choice questions through the course. No further study or assessment.

Certificate: Available for download at the time of successful completion of the online learning.

Learning Outcomes of this course include:

  • Learners will be able to understand the Respect at Work context, and the ‘why’ in the prevention of sex-based harassment
  • Learners will be able to revise their understanding around sex discrimination and be able to recognise conduct that amounts to sex-based harassment
  • Learners will have an understanding around their new positive legal obligations to prevent and respond to sex-based harassment
  • Learners will be able to identify relevant behaviour that occurs in connection ‘at work’ including online behaviour
  • Learners will be able to understand and recognise third party actor impacts around sexual harassment including ancillary liability, victimisation, preventing a hostile work environment and bystander intervention
  • Learners will be able to identify reasonable and proportionate measures in which to prevent and respond to sex-based harassment and related conduct
